Natalie Deverneuil
MPsych (Clinical), DHypnotherapy (Clinical), MAPS, MAPSCC, ASH
Clinical Psychologist
I have been working as a clinical psychologist for the last 23 years in the area of anxiety and complex trauma. Not one person I have met with, whether neurotypical or neurodivergent, is the same as the next. However, what is common is that everyone has their own unique strengths, and that recognising, developing and using these strengths leads to empowerment and overcoming barriers.

Veronica Beeson
MPsych (Clinical), MAPS
Clinical Psychologist
I first started seeing clients in 2015. The philosophy that underpins my work is to help people understand what their individual needs are, and to live a life that meets those needs. My approach is marked by non-judgemental authenticity in meeting clients wherever they are at in life. I work sensitively with clients of all cultural backgrounds and am respectful and curious of each person’s spiritual and religious beliefs. I am LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming.

I have experience in individual, couple and group therapy and utilising a range of approaches including Schema, CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR and Mindfulness-Based therapies. I have experience working with clients across the lifespan. I provide neurodiversity affirming autism assessments which honour the strengths and differences of the individual. These assessments can form part of an NDIS application.

Please get in touch. I look forward to working with you.

Schema Therapy
A schema is a cognitive framework or concept that helps us to organise and interpret information. Schemas allow us to take shortcuts in interpreting the vast amount of information that is available in our external environment. However, these mental frameworks can also cause us to exclude pertinent information, leading us to focus only on things that confirm our pre-existing beliefs and ideas.
The four main concepts of the Schema Therapy model are: Early maladaptive schemas, maladaptive coping styles, schema mode, and needs.
The main goals of Schema Therapy are:
- Help you strengthen your healthy adult mode
- Weaken your maladaptive coping modes so that you can get back in touch with your core needs and feelings;
- Get your core emotional needs met in everyday life.
